A patient.

60 some years old.
Seemingly healthy.
Was enjoying time with friends when a surprise medical event took her out.

Don’t need to share more than that (HIPAA).

It raises some questions, aside from “What happened?”
Mostly, what are you doing with your life?

A while ago, I wrote this piece about making your life count

And I think it’s time we revisit it.

For 2 reasons:

  1. I know way too many people who are working a job they hate, getting paid less than they’re worth, and sacrificing their health (mental and physical) and time with friends and family in servitude to a boss who thinks it’s ok to ask for a Sunday meeting and a company that’s ready to lay them off at the first sign of financial distress.

  2. You’re not going to be here forever. So you might as well take the first step away from a life that looks like the above, today.

I told you on Wednesday that I’d be sharing a piece about mobility this Saturday. And I will. But mobility isn’t worth much if you’re living like you’ll be here forever.

So?

Stop playing by somebody else’s rules.
Pick up the phone.

Make plans with a friend.

Get busy living.

Kapeesh?
Cool.

Now, if your back, neck, shoulders or knees hurt, keep reading because we’re going to tackle that problem head-on…
