Been thinking a lot lately about depression and weight gain. Talked to someone the other day who said, “I’m just really sad so I don’t want to make healthy decisions.” Another guy who says weight gain is related to a negative self-image.
Seems weight loss is more than just physical!?
Maybe some of these questions can spark a helpful thought?
Does the change in self-image come before or after you lose the weight? Might losing weight help your self-image? Can you work on them at the same time?
Do you know anyone who’s lost a bunch of weight, made a bunch of money, etc.? Did their self-image seem to change, too?
