GLP-1s, Protein, Purpose? Fun?
Recapping the week
Read time: 6 minutes
Good morning, 66.1ers.
Lots of good stuff happening this week.
Friend/client asked for feedback on a coaching program
He’s helping people reach their potential. Build the business, a robust family life, etc. Made me wonder:
-If your spouse isn’t on board with your mission, what % of your mission will you be able to achieve? Will you even attempt to pursue it?-Do you know your mission? Does your spouse know it? Do your friends know it?
-If you don’t have a spouse…do you want one? Have you thought about how you’ll introduce them to your mission? If you meet someone and they’re not on board with your mission, are they spouse material?
This is now the most-referenced article in the bank of nearly 200 articles written for 66.1.Re-read this by Rick Roberge.
Lots of ways to make the world a better place. But I worry that not everyone’s doing that. Might spend some time reading the article, take it for a mental walk around the block. Then think on these questions:
If you know your calling, are you doing it? If you don’t know it, are you keeping an eye out for it? Actively conducting “experiments” to create the opportunity for your calling to present itself? Or maybe I’m asking too much of everyone, too much of life, talking about all this “calling” stuff? Too much time at St. Olaf College?66.1 reader asked about high protein diets
Protein is all the rage lately.
Especially with the advent of GLP-1s.
I won’t go into a rant about GLP-1s (if you want that, go here), but I will ask:
Which diet has you looking, feeling, performing at your best?
I’ve seen people get shredded eating mostly carbs.
I’ve seen keto dieters who gain weight.
If your current approach isn’t getting you to where you want to be, what’s keeping you from trying something different?Garage gym re-opened for the winter
Friend’s house.
5 of us.
Every Tuesday/Thursday morning from January-April.
Uninsulated 20x10 garage.
We’ve got a rower, a squat rack, an assault bike and…A heater!
Got a cool home gym?
Send a photo reply here and I might have to add it to a future issue?Deer hunted behind an umbrella
Probably not relevant to most of you.
Or maybe it is?
You done anything that made you feel like a 12-year-old lately?
Exercised your creative muscles?
Had a gut-busting laugh with friends because you can’t believe what you’re doing, but gosh it’s fun?
This is us earlier this week, archery hunting behind a patio umbrella in a snowstorm:
Have fun out there.
