Good evening, 66.1ers.
Food for thought:
Talked to a client yesterday. His goal is to lose 20 pounds by 12/31/2025. You might think he’s doing the GLP-1 thing and drinking kale smoothies. Or, if you’ve been reading 66.1 for a while, you might know that we’re doing it the fun way. Because getting healthy doesn’t have to suck. He likes lifting weights, so I shared my own lifting program with him. Hasn’t been at it in a few years, though, so I suggested he lift alone (so he didn’t have friends telling him to do more, more, more) and cap his effort level at 60%.
As for his diet? We’re not going to touch it for now. One thing at a time. He’s going to log what he eats and drinks for a week and we’ll tweak it from there. A few questions:
-Where in your life are you trying to do so much at once that you’re actually not doing anything at all?
-If you slowed down and made a plan, might you actually get to your goal faster than if you just kept spinning your wheels?
-What’s your reason for making a change? So you can take a hiking trip with your daughter? So you can get on the floor and play with your grandkids? Change isn’t supposed to be easy.
-Might you benefit from having someone to hold your hand + keep you accountable as you make this change? Should we talk?
Is working more the key to success?
The “996” work schedule is making its way around LinkedIn.
What are your thoughts?

Recommendation of the week
Stephan Weyers is helping people complete triathlons. Big stuff. The triathlon goal forces positive change across all walks of life. Might check out Stephan and his company, Wingman, if this is up your alley.
That’s all for this Wednesday.
See you on Saturday.
Have fun out there.
Marcus
