Good morning, 66.1ers.
I anticipate that what follows in today’s email could be an exciting opportunity for a few of you!
Read this story about Ivy Lee + Charles Schwab last week.
Schwab was operating the Bethlehem Steel Mill. He hired Lee for some help with management.
Schwab knew what needed to be done to make more steel, faster and more efficiently, but he just didn't know how to get himself and his people to do it.
Go read the whole thing if you're intrigued. The point is, though, that Schwab didn't have a knowledge problem. He had an execution problem. He needed someone to help him do what he already knew to do.
I'm wondering if there's a parallel between the Schwab story and building healthy habits?
If having all the latest info, knowing what to eat and how to exercise, is enough to get you to your weight loss, fitness, etc. goal?
If you're just one more Huberman podcast from your big breakthrough?
If you have a flawless track record of executing new habits on your own?
