Surgeons, founders, coaches, questions

Good afternoon, 66.1ers.
Sorry for the delay in sending this email. Busy weekend with family in town, and sometimes it’s best to hang up and hang out. That said, there were a number of interesting conversations worth sharing:
Dr. Jen Stevane continues to build her holistic surgery practice. Helping people get ready for surgery so recovery is faster and more complete. You heard about what she’s doing a couple of weeks ago. New this week, though, is the idea to combine a doctor’s technical skills with a coach’s continued support. Or maybe it’s best to equip the doctor with coaching skills? Fun conversation, more to come.
Alex Haitoglou is building an AI tool to help doctors, coaches, and anyone who changes the world 1 important conversation at a time, have better conversations. Good stuff, worthwhile stuff. AI tells you where you can improve, you do the improving. AI making humans better, not replacing them. Made me wonder if the same could be done for the people on the other end of the line? What if you could debrief your doctor’s appointment (or maybe even prepare for it?) with an AI tool? Would it be the sort of thing an individual patient would benefit from? Save insurance companies a headache? Something else?
Family visited this weekend, more heart stuff came up. Have you heard of lipoprotein (A)? Or the new class of medications being developed to help folks deal with it? Kinda cool…
Finally, been thinking about food. Talked with someone at USDA today, who qualifies for a Value Add Producer Grant (not us)? We live in Montana, home to a bunch of ranches and cows. Lots of space, not a ton of people. Makes a person wonder what happens as the population continues to grow, demand on food resources increases? Do we keep eating a lot of beef? More lab-grown meat? What’s all this mean for our health?
Got a response to any of these questions? Want to tell me what I’m missing? You know what to do!
