Food for thought:
Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., the Health and Human Services Secretary, is turning heads in Washington, D.C. He met with leaders of the United States’ largest consumer foods companies on Monday to outline a few changes being made to the US food industry.
A couple highlights:
RFK committed to removing food dyes from foodsRed No. 3 was banned in January after studies found cancer in lab rats exposed to the dye.Right call by the FDA, I’d say. Now, RFK seeks to widen this ban and get rid of dyes such as Red No. 40, which hasn’t been studied by the FDA in more than 20 years.
He also ordered a revision of the GRAS policyGRAS = “generally recognized as safe”Under the policy, companies can add ingredients they deem as safe to their foods without FDA approval. If that sounds like profit might end up ahead of health, I’d have to agree with you.
Much more to come on this front. In the meantime, Americans might expect your Froot Loops to look a little more Canadian.

A question for you:
Credit to Dan Go for this one.
You say you’ll die for your loved ones…But will you live for them?
Will you eat clean, train hard, and get your sleep so you can be there to support your friends and family for decades to come?
Workout of the week:
Lateral lunges
You know how to do a classic lunge.
Today, we’re going to put a spin on the lunge. We’re going side to side.
This one is great for your hip strength and mobility.
It’ll hit your glutes and quads, too.
5 rounds of 3-5 reps per side is a great starting place.

That’s all for this Wednesday.See you on Saturday.Have fun out there.Marcus
